In the daily thoughts section I will feature daily (at least during the week) posts about something small to spark some thought and conversation. As always, suggestions are welcome and I imagine some of these will turn into more in depth Study Posts later on.

This morning I was recalling my time as a member of The Boy Scouts of America. Scouting teaches young men countless valuable lessons, today we will focus on the Scout Slogan: “Do a good turn daily”. My brother always joked about this as a way of perfecting your stride as you round a corner, but really it is a thought that anyone who wants to lead should think about.

By taking a minute to do something simple to help someone else, you create or strengthen a bond with that person. Doing a good deed helps to promote trust, admiration, and loyalty. Think about that. Think about how simply holding the door can effect your relationship and your ability to work together.

What good turn will you do today?
